I fell in love with these unusual washi tapes from China the moment I found them. The traditional dragon and crane with cloud motifs are beautifully printed in gold foil. They're nicely detailed and the bright blue background for the cranes is especially vivid.
These tapes are each 25mm wide (1 inch) and 7m long. The tape has a release backing which you'll need to peel off to expose the sticky back of the tape. This protects the tape so that the sticky side doesn't pull up the gold foil or ink as you unwrap the tape from the roll. Simply unwind the length you want to use for your project, then peel off the backing. If I'm using a longer strip, I just peel off the first section and get the tape anchored, then continue to peel and adhere as I go so that it doesn't all stick together.
