I have been fascinated with boxes and containers since I was a child, so it's no surprised that I still love them. I like to use a variety of cool receptacles to hold supplies in my studio, but you can also take these and use them for their original purpose. From ceramic tea jars to enameled jewelry boxes, even the containers are versatile!
While I will try to continue to make and add more of these, each set that you see here is one-of-a-kind, so if you love it, grab it while you can! There won't be another one exactly like it (maybe not even a similar one) available again.

Ceramic Tea Jar with Painted Goldfish - $47.99

This whimsical ceramic tea jar captured me with that lovely painted goldfish. The jar is brand new and measures about 6" from the top of the lid to the base and just about 5-1/4" wide at the widest part of the jar. The jar originally came with a bag for tea leaves which is still inside, under all the supplies. You can use it as studio storage or take it back to the kitchen for its original purpose!
This set comes with a brass wax seal of koi / goldfish and a handle (see the detail as well.) You can also see the bag of wax in colors matching the set that comes along with it. You will also find lots of trims, bits of fabric, appliques, foiled washi tape, vintage buttons, handmade (by me!) paper beads from Japanese paper printed with goldfish. I even broke into my personal stash of vintage ribbon printed with goldfish and water plants. |
Small Peach / Orange Enameled Jewelry Box - $12.99

This cute little jewelry box is brand new. The outside is enameled with a pinkish-peach background and orange flowers with gold accents. The inside is a burgundy "velvet" with places to store rings or post earrings and a small compartment for necklaces or other jewelry. It measures 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" and is about 2-1/4" tall, including the feet.
Inside I've add a small sampling of supplies that match the colors of the box, including fabric, trims, and a few embellishments. |
Small Round Green Enameled Jewelry Box - $19.99

This lovely little box is a beautiful green (almost a pthalo green) with gold accents. It's approximately 3" in diameter and about 2-1/4" tall, including the feet. There are spaces inside to hold jewelry, but as you can see, it's also great for art supplies!
There are some beautiful blingy fabrics and trims included, as well as a teardrop sari patch, vintage beads and rhinestones, and other blingy embellishments for you to use in your projects. |
Small Rectangular Blue Enameled Jewelry Box - $21.99

This little jewel box is a lovely blue with gold and a nice gem on the lid. It measures about 3-5/8" wide x 2-1/2" deep x 1-3/4" tall. Inside has an area for rings and post earrings and an open compartment for other jewelry.
I've added a lovely teardrop brooch (wear it or remove the pin to use as an embellishment.) There is also some embellished fabric and trim, beautiful jacquard ribbon, a handmade embellishment with brass findings, a vintage button, and a blue nazar bead from Turkey. I've also included some blingy bits and a handmade trinket pin with a layered flower and glass beads. |
Medium Rectangular Blue Enameled Jewelry Box - $22.99

This medium jewelry box is a bit larger at 4-7/8" wide by 3-1/2" deep by 2-1/4" tall. It also has space for rings and earrings and bit of a larger compartment for other jewelry.
I put a bit of jewelry in this kit with a lovely blue teardrop brooch (wear it, or I usually remove the pin and use it as an embellishment.) There are also other blingy bits, foiled washi tap, a lovely beaded and crocheted embellishment from India, and some embellished fabrics and trims. |
Large, Ornate Resin Container - $30.99

This is a heavy, ornately detailed vintage container made from resin. It's in shades of brown with cream and a few subtle metallic accents. There are a few chips on the underside of the lid that aren't visible when closed and some general wear, but overall it's in good condition for a vintage piece. It's hexagonal in shape and about 5-1/2" wide from point to point. From the top of the lid to the bottom of the feet it's about 7" tall. Without the lid it's a touch over 4" tall.
I've paired this container with shades of blue and red. There are some lovely trims, embroidered and jacquard fabrics, a sequined flower and an embroidered flower, beautiful foiled washi tape in a matching color scheme, and lots of blingy embellishments. There's also a yard of gold beaded wire on a wooden spool, a small assortment of various glass beads from India, some paper elements including a few reproduction postage stamp stickers and some labels, and a handmade embellishment with antique brass filigree and a vintage button. |
Small Gold Jewelry Box - $14.99

This cute little jewel box is a solid gold-colored metal on the outside and lined with a deep red faux velvet on the inside. It's about 2-3/4" in diameter and just under 2" tall including the feet. Without the feet you have about 1-1/2" depth inside the box.
What else do you put inside of a gold box besides lots of gold embellishments? There's a strip of beautiful jacquard trim, some embellished patches, a Dresden star, some lovely shanked buttons, a skinny roll of washi tape with a gold pattern, and some other jeweled bits and bobs, including a crocheted and beaded vintage embellishment from India. |
Peacock Printed Box - $64.99

This beautiful box called to me as soon as I saw it (no surprise - it has a gorgeous peacock across the lid!) It's a chipboard box that's covered inside and out with printed paper that has gold foiled accents. The lid is attached with a lip that closes over the front of the box. It's just over 7"x5" long / wide and 2-1/2" tall.
Obviously, a peacock themed box is going to be filled with peacocks! I've pulled together fabrics and trims that are in peacock colors and / or have peacocks on them. I've also included some beautiful large charms from Turkey as well as patches. One is a large peacock feather, and the other is an embroidered peacock from India that I pulled from my personal stash. Of course, there are also lots of jewels and embellishments - tons to inspire and keep you busy on a multitude of projects! |
Black, Gold, & Bronze Cigar Box - $44.99

This cigar box seemed to call for blacks and metallics, so that's what I filled it with! The box itself is in good condition and measures about 6-3/4" wide by 4-1/4" deep and ~4-1/4" tall. The lid has a latch closure and is hinged.
Inside you'll find several fabrics - some embroidered, some sequined, most new, but a few vintage pieces. there are trims, including 2 feet of beautiful jacquard. Also some embroidered trims and a large patch from India. I've added vintage buttons, lots of little blingy bits, some African trade beads including a few glass and bronze Dogon beads. There are some fun sequins and brass dangles and a lovely long crocheted embellishment from India. Lots to explore in this box! |

This beautiful canister has a nice substantial feel and is made from ceramic. The lid is lined and meant to be an air-tight stopper. The canister is ~4-1/4" tall without the lid... the lid is another 7/8". It's ~3-1/4" in diameter.
Inside I've filled it with various fabrics and trims from India in colors that match the flowers on the outside. There is also a lovely crocheted floral embellishment, a few embroidered bits and appliques that make lovely embellishments, and lots of other little bits and pieces to use in your work. |

This one is also filled with fabrics and embellishments that coordinate with the outside (minus the dragon!) Lots of lovely flowers in and trims, including a beautiful piece of fabric that's nearly 1 foot square that has embroidered flowers and vines. There are several embroidered trims, some printed wooden buttons, a beaded and crocheted floral embellishment, and, of course, several blingy bits. (And a few more things I didn't mention!) |
