This necklace is one of a series that I made using scraps of various embellished fabrics to create pendants. I then added the pendant into a hand-built chain to make it a necklace. This pendant features a sequined pattern on black fabric. The sequins are held down with French knots done in blue thread with some bullion details at the top of the design. I've used a similar shade of blue to attach the fabric to a brass open bezel. For the chain, I used descending sizes of open brass rings interspersed with small rings adorned with blue crystal beads at the bottom of the necklace. Then it's attached to a brass chain and it closes with a lobster clasp.
The chain is just over 20" long and the pendant has a drop of about 1-3/4".
