Natural pigments are a fantastic way to customize your art supplies. Make your own watercolors or crayons, tint mediums to make acrylic paints or texture pastes, or try making your own colors of cold wax or encaustic paints. The options are endless!

I love to experiment and customize my art supplies. I've tried making my own watercolors (and they turned out pretty great!) as well as using pigment powders to make the Soy Wax Crayons that I use and also sell. My experimentation has led me to buy lots of pigments in bulk and I have admitted that I have more than I will ever use, so I'm sharing some of my favorite colors in smaller sizes so you can experiment yourself without any large commitments in cost or volume of product.

These pigments are available in 13 colors. You will get approximately 12 grams of powder in a 20mL glass jar. (It comes with an air-tight plug and screw top lid.) I will also include a small 1/32 tsp scoop with each jar to easily get pigments out and / or measure them. Please note that I've done my best to accurately capture the color of the pigments in the photographs, but they may be different in person owing to different screen settings. Also, some of the colors will shift when added to different mediums. (IE, that Teal Duck is gorgeous, but it will show up more green when it gets wet.)

These are natural, inert, non-toxic pigments. Pigment powders should never be stored anywhere where there's moisture or a lot of humidity. You should also exercise caution when working with pigments - they should not be inhaled.
