Eclectica³ EGL-51 is a plate of 6 deeply etched, cling-mounted red rubber stamps that I designed for PaperArtsy. The set was inspired by my local nature and the theme of pollination. The butterfly, hummingbird, flowers, and honeycomb all work together or blend seamlessly with other stamp sets for scrapbooking, mixed media, art journaling, handmade cards and ATCs, and more.
EGL51 celebrates my love of nature - I call this my "Pollination" set since it features a hummingbird (a Ruby Throated Hummingbird was my inspiration here - they're the only species that we get where I live) as well as a butterfly and some of the flowers that attract them.
A few years ago I planted Zinnias in our backyard and they grew to be 4-5 feet tall and the hummingbirds and butterflies loved them! I have a few packs of seeds waiting so I can try again this year. I love that they were bringing the pollinators to the yard, but I also adore their bold and bright colors. So, I added two Zinnia blooms into the set.
The trumpet flowers are based on a species of honeysuckle that I see in my neighborhood that is also great for attracting pollinators.
Finally, since I drew a bee in another one of my sets a few years ago, I added honeycomb into this one. Again, a great background / textural element.
