These five stencils I released with StencilGirl in March 2018 are an eclectic mix of designs full of global inspiration - everything from Indian woodblocks to Egyptian Art Deco and a dash of grunge. They're perfect for art journaling, mixed media, paper crafting, and much more!

These five stencils in my Spring 2018 release are an eclectic mix of designs and inspirations. Not Afraid to Try was inspired by a class I took in business school along with hand-carved Indian woodblocks. Chinese Garden Plum Blossoms came from a visit to the Yu Garden in Shanghai, as well as the symbolism of the plum blossom - it blooms in late winter and symbolizes hope and perseverance. The Art Deco Peacock Feathers stencil was a mash-up of my love of peacock feathers as a motif along with Egyptian Art Deco designs. The last two, Decorative Flower Stamen Medallion and the Scribble X Mask were originally doodles in my work notebook that became hand-carved stamps before being turned into stencil designs.

These stencils make fabulous texture and pattern in the backgrounds of your art journal spreads or mixed media artwork, or you can use any of them to create fabulous focal points. The Scribble X Mask is especially fun to use with gelatin printing.

Check out the samples below for more ideas on how you can incorporate these stencils into your work!
