I love the shape and images on antique Chinese coins and these replicas are a fantastic way to bring that Far Eastern flair into mixed media artwork, paper crafts, stitching and textile projects, and more.

I love to use these replica antique Chinese coins in my work. They're an easy way to add a fun and exotic touch into my work. The square center opening makes a fabulous mini frame or works as a place to stitch the coin in place rather than adhering. Each side has different designs - one side has Chinese characters on each side of the hole (these are generally symbolic of luck, prosperity, long life, etc...) and dragons on the other side. Usually dragons can be symbolic of either a water sign (dragons bring the rain) or they can be a reference to the emperor. These types of Chinese coins are also frequently considered to be good luck charms. You can loop or wrap a cord through the opening to turn it into a necklace.

There are two sizes available - the medium coins are about 3/4" in diameter while the small are about 5/8." The coins are sold individually.
