These beautiful flower and leaf beads are direct from the Czech Republic. The flower designs have been table cut, meaning that they're cut on both sides using a special grindstone so that both sides of the bead are flat. They're also sometimes referred to as window beads as you can see into them from the smoothly ground surfaces. The leaves are pressed glass with beautiful striations of color.
These beads are sold individually and their sizes are marked with the color (For reference, 12mm is about 1/2.") Most table cut beads are about 1/8" thick.
I love to use these for jewelry, but the flat surfaces also make them perfect to adhere to a canvas or other substrate in mixed media artwork. They're also fun to string and dangle from a journal, a handbag, or other accessories.
