Eclectica³ EGL-17 is a set of 12 deeply etched, cling-mounted red rubber ticket and embellishment stamps that I designed for PaperArtsy. All of the elements are hand-drawn; there are seven tickets and five accents that are perfect for cards and tags, scrapbook layouts, art journaling, bullet journals, and more.
I love to use vintage tickets in my artwork - especially from other countries. Of course, these can be hard to find and expensive. While I don't mind using them in my artwork, for smaller projects - especially cards, ATCs, or other items I may give away, I prefer not to use my "good" stuff, you know? So why not turn those tickets into stamps so you can have as many as you want, in any color, and have accents to customize them?
I took several vintage and antique tickets from my collection of ephemera - all from countries where I've visited and ridden a train, bus, or subway, and recreated them as stamp designs. Each element - right down to the tiny lettering, was hand drawn so that I could fully customize each one of them and put my own hand into every piece of this set.
I included some franking type stamps separate from the ticket images so that you can add them, or not, as you choose and also do it in a different color. I also added some floral and foliage elements that make great accents to the tickets or which can be used on their own. I'm thrilled with how real they look when you stamp and cut them out!
