These 6"x6" hand-bound journals have 58 pages (all watercolor paper) and are perfect for art journaling on a smaller scale as well as watercolor, drawing, mixed media, scrapbooking, and more.
I have always loved working in a smaller journal - it probably stems from the many 6x6 scrapbooks I've made in my day. These journals use the same materials and binding techniques that I use for my own books and are ideal for smaller art journals, scrapbooks, or sketching and watercolor books. They're big enough that you can try out lots of techniques or get a decent amount of sketching or painting area, but still small enough to fit into your travel art or journaling kit.
These little books measure 6-3/4" x 6-1/2" x 1-1/2" and the pages are 6" x 6." There are 58 usable pages total, made from 140lb (300gsm) watercolor paper and stitched into five signatures with waxed linen thread. The cases (covers and spine) are made from 2mm archival binder's board and the covers and end papers are all hand-marbled. The spines are covered with coordinating fabric binding tape and embellished with vintage ribbon and / or embroidered trims from India. Each book is finished with metal corners on front and back covers to protect them from damage - that's especially helpful if you travel with your journals like I often do!
