These antique Japanese book pages come from beautifully preserved books that are over 100 years old. You get 5 folded single-sided pages block printed on rice paper. They're ideal for collage in your art journal or mixed media projects. They can also be used for cards, tags, scrapbooking, bullet journals, and more.
I love using Asian text for collage in my mixed media artwork and in my art journals and although I sometimes use copies, nothing beats the look and feel of originals. Especially original pages like these which were block printed on rice paper; it collages like a dream.
My preferred adhesive for these papers is either a good glue stick (I like Avery or Coccoina Italian glue sticks) or a fluid medium like matte medium. Because rice paper is so thin and porous, adhering them by coating the entire surface with glue will work best. I like to use the traditional collage method - adhesive on the substrate, on the back of the book page, and then on the front after adhering. Just be careful in how much you work over the paper - although rice paper is tougher than it looks, it's still somewhat fragile and as these are from antique books, they need a bit more care than usual. If you're hesitant, try leaving off the top coat or starting with a glue stick.
You'll get 5 pages and each page is single-sided and comes folded. Pages measure approximately 10" wide (5" folded) by 7" tall. The book that these pages came from was hand blockprinted in Japan and is well over 100 years old.
