These beautifully detailed and unique handmade appliques feature embroidery, beading, sequins, and jewels. There are different eyes, elephants, seahorses, bees, fish, and birds. They're perfect for accenting clothing and accessories, textile projects, and also mixed media and dimensional artwork.
It's no secret that I love embellished patches and appliques... I'm always on the lookout for cool new shapes and designs to add into my stitching and mixed media projects. These are mostly handmade by an artist in China and I was thrilled to be able to bring in such unique pieces - especially the eyes! (And the elephants... and the bees... and those seahorses!) I'm excited to be able to incorporate these into my own work - I think they're ideal for mixed media (you can glue them or stitch them - the birds and fish can also be ironed.) They would also be gorgeous stitched onto the front of a needlebook or added to a jacket or purse.
