There are a few supplies that I consider to be pretty essential to my work and washi tape is one of them. Of course, not just any washi tape - although I use many brands, my favorite by far is one of the originals - MT Tape. Here are just a few of my favorite designs, perfect for art journaling, planners, paper crafting, and more.
I absolutely adore washi tape... I find it to be the perfect product to use in my art journal, in mixed media artwork, assemblage pieces, handmade cards, tags... you get the picture! Although there are many brands out there (and I probably have half of them in my studio!) MT Tape makes my favorite washi of all time. This tape from Japan was one of the first on the market, and in my opinion they're the best. Why? First of all, it sticks. A lot of the newer brands out there seems to have forgotten about the "tape" side of things, but this stuff sticks. Second, just look at these designs! Bright, colorful, unique... they're fabulous to work with and if you haven't tried them, do it... you'll love it!
