Chinese and Japanese calligraphy make such a beautiful addition to mixed media artwork, art journals, etc... Washi tape is a quick and easy way to add a touch of text into your work. I especially love to use the wider tapes in the spine of my art journal spread. It turns an unattractive area of the page into a decorative element and reinforces it at the same time. Just add a coat of matte medium over top to lock it all down.
