I love to add textiles into my artwork - be it mixed media, art quilts, or sometimes even in my art journal or to make journal covers. They add a whole different texture and look to your work and can be a fun and unique way to bring in colors and embellishments.
You can choose your color family or a rainbow selection which has pieces in different colors as well as pieces with many colors in one. You get two ounces (about 1/8 pound) of scraps, which will include a mix of embellished and more plain fabric. You could also get scraps of sari ribbons - I have some that are as much as 5" wide. The photos show samples of the types of scraps I have available for each color, but all packages will vary as my supply changes with every shipment. Note also that you may receive pieces that have the main color you choose as the base, but embroidery or embellishment in other colors.
These fabrics are clean but have been used, so some of them have a bit of wear - missing beads, frayed edges, etc... I like the irregularity of these pieces - they add a nice sense of individuality to my work!
