These gorgeous Khadi papers in shades of grey are a beautiful addition to a handmade art journal or as a mixed media substrate. They're also great for sketching or watercoloring on toned paper (try them with gouache, which is more vibrant and opaque on a dark substrate!) I like this smaller size for making small or mini journals and as a base for smaller pieces of art.
The papers themselves are handmade, 100% long-fibred cotton rag, and artist grade from Khadi Papers India. They get the grey colors from a mix of black and white cotton cuttings. They are internally sized with neutral pH size and are acid free. The surface is Medium-Rough and the paper weight is 150gsm, thinner than the white paper assortments (about the weight and stiffness of average cardstock - not heavy weight.)
