These packs of white cotton rag paper from Khadi Papers are made in India from recycled fabric. Weighing in at 320gsm, it's a perfect paper for watercolor, book making, mixed media artwork, sketching, and more.
*Note - all white packs are currently sold out. I've ordered more, but due to delays from the pandemic Khadi's US distributor is now saying that they won't get more until March. I'll re-stock as soon as I'm able.
I am a huge paper lover... I have a massive stash of paper from all over the world that I use for artwork and to make books and Khadi Papers are among my favorites. I love that it's handmade in India using upcycled fabric... 100% long fibred cotton rag. It's acid free, so you can also use it for scrapbooking and heritage projects. The deckle edge from the paper mold gives a beautiful finish to the sides of each sheet.
I use this for my handmade art journals, acrylic paints, pencil and graphite drawings, ink, watercolor, and I have also used it with soft pastels (it does begin to pill a bit if you work over it a lot, but it still holds up extremely well.) Although it tends to be touted as a watercolor paper, I've found it to be one of the best mixed media papers I've used.
All Khadi papers are internally sized with neutral pH size. The white papers available here are all 320 gsm (about the equivalent of 140lb handmade watercolor paper) and are internal and surface sized (tub sized) with gelatin. Each pack comes with 20 sheets.
