These extra large vintage Afghan Kuchi patches (measuring 4.25" to 6") are beautiful accent pieces. Beaded and mirrored, they're the perfect addition to jackets, handbags, journal covers, mixed media artwork, and more.
Kuchi patches, also known as Tikka medallions or gul-i-peron patches, are from the tribal people in Central Asia. Often seen in Banjara clothing and accessories, these intricately beaded pieces are full of bright colors and wonderful tribal patterns. These particular patches are the ones I've classified as "extra large" - that is, the shortest side or diameter measures at least 4" but is smaller than 6." They're a good size, and great for stitching onto a handbag, the cover of a large journal, or to use on large-scale mixed media artwork.
Please note - these are vintage pieces and there is some wear and tear. I've made sure that none of them have extensive damage, but you can expect that there may be some loose threads, missing beads, and other signs of age. For me, this adds character and just makes them even more appealing.
