"Butterfly Medallion" measures 18" x 18" x 3/4" on stretched canvas. The sides are finished, so the piece is ready to hang as-is. It has layers of paint, texture mediums, hand-drawn symbols, and collaged fabric and stenciled images. I've accented the design with semi-precious gemstone chip beads around the circle, embossing powder, and a bead and gemstone butterfly that I made on a basswood base using a piece of old jewelry, a larger tumbled piece of green agate, pyrite, peridot, tumbled citrine and carnelian chips, and natural crystals.
